There’s a new sandwich in town!
This week, we stopped off at our local Arby’s to grab something to eat before heading to do some grocery shopping. My mission was to try out their newest creation: the Arby’s Grand Turkey Club. I’ve made no secret of the fact that I love sandwiches. If we are stopping for a quick lunch, I’ll almost always choose a sandwich place over burgers.
So what is the Grand Turkey Club? It features sliced turkey, melted Swiss Cheese, and pepper bacon. All of this is served on a “Harvest Wheat” bun. It also has your usual sandwich produce: leaf lettuce and tomato.
Considering that my favorite sandwich meat is turkey and my favorite cheese to pair with turkey is Swiss, I was quite eager to give the Grand Turkey Club a try.
So what did I think of it? The Turkey Bacon Club definitely met my expectations. I was really please with how many slices of turkey the sanwich had and the bacon was much thicker than I usually see on burgers at other places. Speaking of the bacon, this was my husband’s favorite part. My guy loves his peppered bacon, so I wasn’t surprised.
A major plus to me was that the lettuce and tomato were great quality. I know that seems like such a little thing, but one of my pet peeves is when I get a sandwich with less-than-appealing produce. It’s a total turn off. But the lettuce and tomato on the Grand Turkey Club was nice and fresh.
One thing you can get, that I didn’t try, is their Grand Turkey Ham Club sandwich. It’s the same as the one we had, but it has the addition of ham. I was perfectly happy without the ham, but in hindsight, my husband said he should have gotten that one instead since he’s a fan of turkey and ham together.
While we were there, I was also pleased to see that Arby’s was accepting donation for The Arby’s Foundation, which is working to help end childhood hunger. I’ve spoken here on my blog about how important the topic of childhood hunger is to me, so I was sure to donate towards their efforts.
Are you ready to try the Grand Turkey Club? It’savailable now at Arby’s, so I encourage you to head on over and order one. Not sure where your local Arby’s is? Just visit this page for help: Find an Arby’s
