Las Vegas Deals + Nevada Blind Children’s Foundation

Yesterday, David, Mattie, and I tried out a new-to-us burger place in Las Vegas called Elevation Burger. Have you ever ate at one? They offer 100% USDA-certified organic, 100% grass-fed beef. They also have delicious veggie burgers (which is what I had), fries (cooked in olive oil), and shakes. The food was great, and the service was awesome.

One of the best parts? We saved $10 on our meal because we bought $20 certificate for just $10 from a brand new daily deal site in Las Vegas called Deal or Bust.

As many of you know, one of my sisters, Brittany, recently passed away after a long battle with Batten Disease. Around the age of 8, Brittany started losing her eyesight as a result of this disease. Progressively, her eyesight worsened and she retained only a small amount of peripheral vision.

My Dad worked with Brittany, and local services in his area, to help Brittany learn Braille, how to walk to with a cane, and more. These things were a definite challenge, but due to the services he received, my Dad had help.

This is why I choose Nevada Blind Children’s Foundation. I’m so glad that there is an organization like this in Nevada. They offer families help with blind specific technology, phyical activities for blind children, and even special events. When I first learned about the Nevada Blind Children’s Foundation, it was during Easter time and they were having a Beepin’ Egg Hunt! How cool is that? I would have so loved for Brittany to have participated in something like that.
