Ingredients

  • 6 pounds of Apples
  • 1 Lemon
  • 1 cup of Apple Juice or Apple Cider
  • 1/2 cup of Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of Ground Cinnamon 
  • 1 teaspoon of Ground Nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Clean, peel, and slice all the apples and add them to a large pot.
  2. Add the juice from the lemon to the pot and toss to coat the slices.
  3. Add juice, brown sugar, and spices to the pot.
  4. Stir until all apple slices are coated.
  5. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally for 20 minutes or until the apples are tender.
  6. Remove from heat
  7. Process to desired consistency with a masher or food processor blender.
  8. Serve warm, room temperature or chilled. When storing it, keep it in an airtight container or glass jar with lid and keep it in the fridge.
