- 6 pounds of Apples
- 1 Lemon
- 1 cup of Apple Juice or Apple Cider
- 1/2 cup of Brown Sugar
- 1 teaspoon of Ground CinnamonÂ
- 1 teaspoon of Ground Nutmeg
Instructions
- Clean, peel, and slice all the apples and add them to a large pot.
- Add the juice from the lemon to the pot and toss to coat the slices.
- Add juice, brown sugar, and spices to the pot.
- Stir until all apple slices are coated.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally for 20 minutes or until the apples are tender.
- Remove from heat
- Process to desired consistency with a masher or food processor blender.
- Serve warm, room temperature or chilled. When storing it, keep it in an airtight container or glass jar with lid and keep it in the fridge.
