Easy Homemade Applesauce is one of our favorite items to keep in the house. It is a quick and healthy snack! We also love that we can choose what kind of apples we want for the sauce. Ingredients Needed for Easy Homemade Applesauce:
- Apples (6 Pounds)
- Lemon (1)
- Apple Juice or Apple Cider (1 Cup)
- Brown Sugar (1/2 Cup – Packed)
- Ground Cinnamon (1 Teaspoon)
- Ground Nutmeg (1 Teaspoon)
Cooking Equipment Needed for Easy Homemade Applesauce:
- Apple Peeler
- Lemon Squeezer
- Apple Slicer
- Large Pot
- Mixing Spoon
- Masher or Food Processor Blender
- Airtight Container or Glass Jar with Lid
How to make Easy Homemade Applesauce:
01. Clean, peel, and slice all the apples and add them to a large pot.
02. Add the juice from the lemon to the pot and toss to coat the slices.
03. Add juice, brown sugar, and spices to the pot.
04. Stir until all apple slices are coated.
05. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally for 20 minutes or until apples are tender.
06. Remove from heat.
07. Process to desired consistency with a masher or food processor blender.
08. Serve warm, room temperature, or chilled. Store it in an airtight container or glass jar with a lid in the fridge. It will last about a week in the fridge but you can also freeze it up to a year.

- 6 pounds of Apples
- 1 Lemon
- 1 cup of Apple Juice or Apple Cider
- 1/2 cup of Brown Sugar
- 1 teaspoon of Ground Cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon of Ground Nutmeg
Instructions
