Ingredients

  • 4 15- ounce cans great northern beans; rinsed and drained
  • 1 1/2 cups root beer (not diet)
  • 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 4 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a medium sized pot, combine the beans and root beer over medium heat. Add the remaining ingredients and mix gently. Bring to a low boil, then reduce heat to low. Cook on low until thickened (about 30 minutes or so).
