I was invited by Boar’s Head to make a delicious sandwich for one of their contests (the winner has already be picked). My family and I are fans of Boar’s Head products so I didn’t hesitate for a second! You can’t go wrong with a sandwich full of bold and spicy flavors so that is why I made this recipe for Spicy Southwestern Turkey Panini.
My sandwich recipe is for a Spicy Southwestern Turkey Panini. It’s spicy, it’s cheesy, and it’s definitely bold. With ingredients like Blackened Oven Roasted Turkey Breast, Fiery Chipotle Aioli, Spicy Colby cheese, smashed avocado (with lime and cilantro), and tomatoes!
All of these flavors together give the sandwich a HUGE punch of flavor that you’re going to love, plus the turkey is seriously one of the best I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a lot!)
To give this panini another element flavor, I spread the chipotle aioli on the outside of the sourdough bread before cooking. The flavor bakes right into the bread, giving it extra crustiness and another kick of boldness.

Of course, I could stop there and this panini would be amazing, but I decided to elevate this panini to the king of all sandwiches smashed Avocado that is mixed with cilantro and lime. With this mixture and the fresh tomato slices, it brings freshness to this flavor packed meal!

This panini looks so delicious! I LOVE the Boars Head blackened turkey! Have you tried their smoked gouda?! It absolutely melts in your mouth. I don’t have a panini press, but this is seriously making me want to go out and get one. I’ve added this to my “must make” list. Thank you so much for sharing

You don’t need a panani press. You can do it in a frying pan one side at a time. You take something heavy. I use a cast iron pan and press the sandwich into the frying pan. You can line the heavy thing with foil if you don’t want it touching your food. Flip and repeat on the other side.

These look great. I love the idea of adding spread to the outside of the bread for extra flavor. Thanks for posting.
