I have a new favorite movie snack: Edamame (in the pods). When settling in to watch some movies, I wanted to snack on something and went looking around in the kitchen. There was other options, but when I opened up the freezer, I saw the 16 oz bag of frozen edamame. Hmmmm….we’ve had it with dinner, but never to just “snack” on. Then, I looked on the back of the bag and saw that a 16 oz bag was just TWO servings. That means a LOT of edamame since just David and I were sharing it.
I steamed the pods in the microwave, gave them a sprinking of sea salt and we were as happy as two edamame (edamames?) in a pod.

Becca, I think traditionally, it would be more of a side dish? I know that's the way we usually had them. But, I think these are great for snacking, especially since you have to pull the edamame from the pods (make it take longer to eat, more fun).

I have a confession. When I first saw edamame on your FB profile, I thought these would be like a veggie that I could use as a side dish for dinner. LOL! I get it now… it's a snack! I'm making the pod-less ones this afternoon. I'll let you know what I think!
