Cake:
- 1 pound of Butter, softened
- 2 cups of Sugar
- 6 Eggs, beaten
- 2 teaspoons of Vanilla Extract
- 1 pound of Pecans, chopped
- 3 cups of Flour
- 1 teaspoon of Baking Powder
- 1/4 teaspoon of Salt
Glaze:
- 1 1/2 cups of Powdered Sugar
- 6 tablespoons of Heavy Cream
- 1 teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
Instructions
Cake:
- Preheat oven to 250 degrees F. Grease a bundt cake pan.
- In a mixing bowl, beat together the butter and sugar until creamy. Slowly add in the beaten eggs and the vanilla extract.
- Slowly add in the Flour, Baking Powder, and Salt until all mixed in.
- Mix the chopped pecans into the cake batter by hand until well combined.
- Pour cake batter into the greased bundt pan. Bake for 2 hours or until baked through.
Glaze:
- In a small bowl, mix the powdered sugar, heavy cream, and vanilla extract, until smooth.
- Pour glaze over the warm cake
