As you may know, I’m part of a blogger network called Social Fabric. During the time that I’ve been a member, I’ve had the opportunity to get to know lots of great bloggers from all over….some I’ve even had the chance to meet in person. It’s been one of the most rewarding parts of Social Fabric, which is why I was excited to jump in and join their Virtual Christmas Exchange.
What is a Virtual Christmas Exchange? In this virtual Christmas exchange, bloggers are matched up with other bloggers (all secretive) and each blogger shares a post about the blogger they are matched up with. It’s a way of introducing to all of you a blogger that you might know about yet!
The blogger I get to share with you is: Karen of Ting’s Mom! I thought I would share a few cool things about Karen:
1. She does fun things with her kids
There was seriously a lot of stuff on her blog and Instagram that shows what a fun and loving mom she is, but one of the ones that stood out to me and showed just how fun she is was her post called Ting’s in the Kitchen. Karen’s husband was gone for the weekend, so it was just her and the kids. She had to make a trip to the store, so she told her daughter that she could pick any dinner she wanted, but the rule was that she had to help cook it. It looks like her daughter picked fish sticks, shells and cheese, and also a cake mix and frosting to make a cake.
I loved this post because it was the type of things I have done with my kids and I know that having kids pick the dinner and helping make it is memory making for kids. It’s also so cute how she helped make the cake too – I love to see kids in the kitchen.
2. She just lost 29 lbs
We all know that losing weight can be hard and it takes dedication. Karen’s most recent blog post shares how she lost 29 lbs and got herself into her goal of a size 8. Isn’t that awesome?
3. She’s video blogging
I haven’t really gotten into video blogging, but it’s one of my current goals. I always think it’s awesome when I see that bloggers have jumped into YouTube and are doing videos to compliment what they are doing on their blog. Karen’s already got several videos on YouTube on a variety of topics, so be sure to go subscribe to her.
4. She has dual monitors
It seems like all my friends have dual monitors and I don’t. But I would love to have them. Karen’s got dual monitors, as proven on her Instagram feed, which automatically makes her cool.
5. She’s using her blog to document their life as it’s happening
Karen’s blog is a family blog where she shares the details about things going on in her life and the life of her family. Little stuff. Or big stuff. But either way, I like it when bloggers share personal tidbits into their world and document life as it’s happening. Like this short post about a conversation with her daughter about the parade on Thanksgiving Day. These things are surely going to be treasured not just by her, but by her husband and children as time goes on.

Karen’s daughter is just too adorable! I’ll have to checkout her blog. I could use some inspiration to lose 20 or 30 pounds. 😀

Where to even start? Losing 29 pounds is amazing! I love the Cinch products so I can see why she was so successful. Dual monitors qualifies her for baller status and makes me jealous! I need to go check her out!

Thanks Nicole! I kept thinking of how I wanted to present it and then it suddenly dawned on me to do the screenshots. And thank you to you for hosting this! It was a lot of fun.
