Celebrate fall with this easy Pumpkin Nutella Microwave Mug Cake recipe! This single-serving dessert is made in minutes and perfect for late-night cravings.
Ingredients
1/4 cup milk
1 tablespoon butter, melted
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
4 tablespoons pumpkin purée
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
3 tablespoons Nutella, divided
Instructions
1. Add the milk, sugar and melted butter to a microwave-safe mug (that holds at least 10-12 ounces) and whisk to combine.
2. Add the flour and baking powder a little at a time. Whisk until all of the lumps have disappeared.
3. Add the pumpkin purée, cinnamon and pumpkin pie spice and stir well.
4. Drop 2 tablespoons of Nutella spread into the middle of your mug and stir with a fork to distribute.
5. Microwave on HIGH for 30 seconds. Continue to microwave in 15-second increments until the cake is done in the center. Microwave wattages vary but ours took 2 minutes.
6. While the mug cake is cooling, microwave 1 tablespoon Nutella for 45 seconds to soften. Drizzle on top of the mug cake.
Notes
This recipe makes 1 large mug (10-12 oz). If using small mugs, cut the recipe in half.
