This recipe makes enough for a large mug that holds about 10-12 ounces. If you would like to use small mugs, simply half this recipe.

Chances are, you probably have most of the ingredients on hand to make this Pumpkin Nutella Microwave Mug Cake recipe. It uses the usual kitchen staples of all-purpose flour, sugar, milk, butter, and baking powder. You will also need pumpkin puree, Nutella, and two spices: ground cinnamon and pumpkin pie spice. You will also need a microwave-safe mug.
For the pumpkin puree, you will only need to use 4 tablespoons per mug, which means that you will end up having a lot of leftover pumpkin. We’re not fans of wasting ingredients, so you have a couple of options. How to Make Your Pumpkin Nutella Microwave Mug Cake
To make your own Pumpkin Nutella Microwave Mug Cake, you’ll first combine milk, sugar and melted butter in your mug. Then, you’ll then gradually add the flour and baking powder a little at a time. Whisk all this together until smooth and all lumps have dissolved.
Next, stir in the pumpkin puree, ground cinnamon and pumpkin pie spice to the flour mixture in the mug.
The final step before microwaving is to add 2 tablespoons of Nutella spread into the mixture and stir with a fork to swirl it into the pumpkin/flour mixture. Place the mug in your microwave, and heat on HIGH for 30 seconds. Continue to microwave in 15-second increments until the cake is done in the center.
