Are you a pumpkin fan? If you are, you’re in good company. This time of year, pumpkin is everywhere and I’m not the least bit disappointed!

One of the best things about pumpkin dishes is that many of them use pumpkin spice, which is a spice blend usually made up of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, allspice, and sometimes, cloves. Not only does it smell amazing, but it’s scent and taste also makes many people feel warm and cozy. It’s with good reason too: cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and nutmeg are considered “warming spices” which can actually make you feel warmer in the cooler months.

Pumpkin Spice Frozen Yogurt Pops Recipe

In a good way, this Pumpkin Spice Frozen Yogurt Pops recipe challenges that warm & cozy feeling. It pairs pumpkin and pumpkin spice into a frozen popsicle. It’s an especially great treat for those of us who live in warmer areas, but who am I kidding? I’ve eaten pumpkin ice cream when it was below freezing outside. You don’t need warm weather to enjoy this.

Making this fall treat is very easy. You’ll combine canned pumpkin puree, yogurt, sugar, honey, pumpkin pie spice and vanilla extract in a bowl.

Mix it up until it’s all combined.

Then, spoon into a popsicle mold, add your popsicle sticks and freeze overnight for best results.

NOTE: The frozen pops mold in these photos is from TJ Maxx. We’re not sure if it’s still available, but if you need a mold, I have two favorites on Amazon: the Norpro Frozen Ice Pop Maker (uses wooden sticks) and the Popsicle Molds Ice Pop Maker (has plastic, reusable handles).

While these Pumpkin Spice Frozen Yogurt Pops are definitely a sweet treat (they do include added sugar for sweetness), there is still plenty of health benefits that you’ll feel good about. The yogurt gives these plenty of protein, while the pumpkin is rich in beta-carotene and offers plenty of potassium. And, pumpkin spice — who can resist a treat with pumpkin spice? Not me!
