Cosmic Brownie Batter Dip Recipe
When our 21-year-old was little, if she found herself with a $1 from doing random chores or perhaps birthday money, she would often spend it on her favorite treat: a box of Little Debbie Cosmic Brownies. See, she had all her brothers and sisters around and having a box of brownies all to herself was the best thing ever. You couldn’t beat it. No one to share with…unless she wanted to barter or be super nice.
If you aren’t sure what Little Debbie Cosmic Brownies are, I’m happy to explain. Cosmic Brownies are just one of several different types of classic snack created by the company Little Debbie and sold in the grocery store. The snacks are always sold by the box, but each treat is individually wrapped in a clear wrapper. Their treats are inexpensive and very popular for lunchboxes and after-school snacking.
Now I won’t say that this Cosmic Brownie Batter Dip recipe is an exact copycat of the original. First of all, this isn’t a solid brownie square and it isn’t covered in a chocolate icing. But, this dip is very much inspired by those individually wrapped brownies with their icon rainbow chocolate candies that our kiddo bought with her dollar.
Ready to make some Cosmic Brownie Batter Dip? You’re going to LOVE how easy this is to make. First, get a large mixing bowl. In that bowl, beat together a brick of cream cheese (8 ounces) and butter. Then mix in powdered sugar, cocoa powder, milk, vanilla, and brown sugar until the mixture is completely blended.
Spoon the mixture into a serving bowl and top with mini M&M candies. Serve this Cosmic Brownie Batter Dip with sliced apples (we like using granny smith apples), graham crackers, or vanilla wafers.
