Learn how you can enter to win a foodie trip to Boston from P.F. Chang’s, plus get the details on their new summer menu!
There is so many great things about traveling, but delicous food experiences are always my favorite. I wish I had unlimited income so I could visit every city on my bucket list — eating and drinking my way to a full belly every day. Until the unlimited income happens, one thing I like to do is to enter trip and vacation contests that I can find. I figure — someone has to win, right? I’ve won a contest or two and it’s an awesome experience when someone else is paying the bill!
Since I know many of you are P.F. Chang’s fans, plus I’m sure you would love to win a travel getaway, I have a fun contest to share with you. Through August 18, 2014, P.F. Chang’s is accepting entries into their “Perfect Pairings” contest. To enter, just go to www.pfchangs.com/perfectpairings to enter to win a foodie trip to Boston for an exclusive Samuel Adams Brewery Tour for two, plus a 4-course craft beer dinner at the P.F. Chang’s downtown Boston.
I think winning a Boston trip for 2 is pretty sweet on its own, but when you enter, you also have the opportunity to win 1 of 25 $100 P.F. Chang’s Gift Cards. Who wouldn’t love to have a $100 to spend on beer and Asian food at P.F. Chang’s??
This past week, David and I headed to P.F. Chang’s for a date night. Now, I don’t know about you, but I’m typically a creature of habit at many restaurants – even when I don’t intend to be. Even if a restaurant has added new items or the server recommends something new, I tend to stick with my favorites. But this time, David and I decided to step out of our comfort zone and order items on the P.F. Chang’s summer menu that we haven’t tried yet. Everything we tried was new to us.
The first item I tried was the Pink Cherry Cosmo made with Absolut Citron Vodka, Cointreau Liqueur, fresh lime juice, and cranberry juice. It was delicious and that Pink Blush cherry garnish made it a perfect girly drink for me. David took a sip or two as well…so maybe it wasn’t too girly after all?
Next up was the Vietnamese Lemongrass Chicken Spring Rolls, which were AWESOME! I’ve become quite obsessed with spring rolls lately, so this really wasn’t “stepping out of my comfort zone”, but it was something new for us to try. The delicate flavor of the lemongrass along with the chicken, julienne carrots, peanuts, Thai basil, and mint was divine. The sweet chili dipping sauce was a perfect accompaniment too.
We also ordered their Heirloom Tomato Salad, which included heirloom tomatoes, avocado, Thai basil and a ponzu dressing. It was a light and zesty salad, full of flavor.
For our entrees, we chose the Chiang Mai Curry Noodles with Chicken, which we both LOVED! It was sliced chicken breast with egg noodles, Fresno peppers, cilantro and a coconut-curry infused broth. It was topped with Brussels sprouts and crispy wonton strips. It was on the spicy side, but that totally added to our enjoyment of it. Our server also recommended getting extra broth on the side, so we did.
We also ordered another entree: the Cantonese Lemon Chicken. I’m a huge citrus fan, so this was a must to order. It featured a crispy whole chicken breast which was sliced and drizzled with warm lemon sauce. It was topped with a delicious broccolini salad.
Of course, there was many more great options we could have ordered if only we didn’t get full so fast! Some of the other items on the P.F. Chang’s Menu were:
- Seared Ahi with Wasabi Guacamole: Yellowfin tuna, seared and served rare, topped with wild baby arugula and green beans in a chili-lime ponzu sauce, served with wasabi guacamole
- Orange Peel Shrimp: Hunan chili sauce with fresh orange slices, garnished with daikon sprouts
And, let’s not forget P.F. Chang’s cocktails! The Spicy Paloma with Tanteo Jalapeño Tequila and fresh jalapeño slices and freshly-squeezed white grapefruit juice sounds so refreshing!
It was a wonderful dinner full of amazing flavors that I’ve come to expect from P.F. Chang’s. I can’t wait to go back again!
Before you forget, head on over to enter to win a trip for 2 to Boston from P.F. Chang’s — and if you win, be sure to let me know. I would get the biggest kick out of one of MY readers being the winner! Good luck!
