Tonight, we took a trip over to CVS to take advantage of a couple items they had on sale. We didn’t expect to leave the store with much, but was surprised to find a bunch of food items on 90% off. Apparently this particular store was trying to clear out some of the excess holiday items they had in stock.
For the most part, I don’t usually get much groceries at a store like CVS – just the occasional snack item or cereals. But, every once in a while, I can find unexpected deals. I went through what they have and picked out what I figured we could use over the next several months and ended up with a nice stockpile of canned goods.
Some of what I got:
10 cans of pumpkin for $3.36
10 cans CVS brand mandarin oranges for 0.99 cents
10 cans Carnation Evaporated Milk for $1.80
2 cans CVS brand mushrooms for 0.30 cents
6 big cans various CVS brand fruits for $1.20
The Special K cereal wasn’t on 90% off but I got all 4 boxes for $2.67, after you factor in their sale, coupons, and ECB’s earned.
Ok, off to watch Case 39 – I know very little about it, but we picked it up at the Redbox.
