For one of our most recent date night’s, David and I headed to P.F. Chang’s to try out some of the new dishes on their Winter Seasonal Menu.
First, we started off with the Shanghai Waldorf Salad, with fresh chopped kale, endive, radicchio, crisp apples, grapes, celery, grape tomatoes and candied walnuts tossed in a light miso-lime vinaigrette. We both still fairly new to salads made with kale, and generally, they wouldn’t be our first choice, but we both really enjoyed it and would definitely order it again.
For our entrees, we ordered the Firecracker Chicken, which was a hoisin-glazed chicken breast, wok-fried with pineapple, Chinese broccoli, Asian mushrooms, Fresno peppers and dried chilies. This was, by far, one of my most favorite items of the night and is something that I hope P.F. Chang’s keeps on the menu.
We also ordered the Pepper Braised Beef, which had a red wine and black pepper sauce wok-tossed with marinated flank steak, sliced potatoes, broccolini, Napa cabbage, grape tomatoes and Fresno peppers. We both enjoyed this too, although the Firecracker Chicken still stood out as our favorite. My favorite part of this dish was the potatoes and the broccolini.
While there are a couple new drinks on the Winter menu, we decided to skip those, but we did treat ourselves to the Sweet Vanilla Cream Wontons. They were delicious, little wontons filled with vanilla cream cheese, dusted with powdered sugar, served with vanilla and raspberry sauces and fresh mint. So good!
Don’t miss the Winter Seasonal Menu at P.F. Chang’s — plan a visit right away so you can try out one of these dishes, or perhaps one of their other new items, such as the Miso Salmon or the Chili Shrimp Bao.
