Asparagus season and Spring is right around the corner! My family and I love making different dishes with asparagus so that is why we made this post. Another great reason to use asparagus this spring is how cheap it can be! During the months of March and April, we have got them as cheap as $1 for a bunch. It all depends on where you live. I love buying them when they are cheap so I can stock up on them and freeze them.
How to freeze Asparagus?
To preserve asparagus from going bad, you can freeze them! First step is to blench them in boiling water for 2 to 4 minutes, depending on the thickness of your spears. Then quickly add the spears to an ice bath for five minutes. Lay them down on a kitchen towel or paper towels and dry them. When they are dried, place them on a baking sheet and place them in the freezer until solid. Store them in a freezer bag.
