Living in Las Vegas, Nevada means most months of the year are a mix of warm, hot, or very hot days but during December and going into March, the weather will give us cold days. It is a very, very rare thing to get snow here but we have had days as low as 30 Degrees and under. If we are going to be honest, when the temps in Vegas get under 70 Degrees, my family and I are pulling out the jackets and cozy socks!
My family and I try to have at least one soup or chili a week during the cold weather. We switch from store-bought items to homemade ones. One thing I love about making these two dishes is that I can normally use what I already have in my kitchen for the ingredients. You will see a lot of simple things that go into these soups and chilis. Another thing I love about Soups and Chilis are that they are normally inexpensive and easy to make.
