My eldest daughter is a big fan of peanut butter. It doesn’t matter if it’s by itself or spread on an apple slice or a piece of sourdough bread, she loves it! She also has a sweet tooth so she loves making and having peanut butter-related treats. Of course, she loves this recipe!
Chocolate Dipped Peanut Butter Cookies is for all peanut butter lovers out there! It is not your stranded cookie. This recipe takes the classic peanut butter cookie and adds a twist – dipping it in delicious melted chocolate and adding crushed pecans!
Ingredients Needed for Chocolate Dipped Peanut Butter Cookies:
- Peanut Butter (1 Cup)
- Butter (1/2 Cup – Softened)
- Egg (1)
- Vanilla Extract (1 Teaspoon)
- Flour (1 1/2 Cups)
- Brown Sugar (3/4 Cup)
- White Sugar (3/4 Cup)
- Baking Soda (1 Teaspoon)
- Salt (1/4 Teaspoon)
- Chocolate Chips (2 Cups)
- Pecans (2 Cups – crushed)

How to make Chocolate Dipped Peanut Butter Cookies:
1. Preheat oven to 350 F. Prepare a baking sheet with Parchment Paper.
2. In a Large Mixing Bowl, mix Peanut Butter, Butter, Egg, Vanilla Extract, Brown Sugar, and White Sugar until well combined.
3. Mix the Dry Ingredients with the Wet Ingredients.
4. Form the Cookie Dough into golf-sized balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Press a fork to make a criss-cross pattern into the dough.
5. Bake for 12 to 15 Minutes (or until it is lightly golden brown). Let them cool.
6. Melt the Chocolate Chips in the microwave, stirring between each 30 seconds. Keep doing this until it is completely melted.
7. Dip half of each Cookie into the Chocolate, sprinkle pecans, then place on parchment paper.
8. Place in the freezer for about 10 minutes to harden. If you are saying them for later, place them in an airtight container with parchment paper between each layer of cookies. This will make sure they don’t stick together!
