Put your party hat on! This Basil Berry Daiquiri Cocktail recipe is an easy summer cocktail for summer parties, barbecues…or anytime!

Here’s the deal about living in Las Vegas — there are always friends and family visiting. Never in any of the places that we have lived before have so many people came to visit us. And quite often it’s last minute – we’ll find out the week they are arriving, or maybe the day of (um, we’ll just leave off names, but they know who they are). But I love it and I’m not complaining at all – I consider it one of the perks of living in a town that so many of our friends and family want to visit.
With these spontaneous visitors, we’ve needed to pull together last-minute fun on more than one occasion. You know that I’m all about easy food. But easy drinks are a must too. Who wants to spend forever mixing up a summer cocktail recipe when they have friends and family over? I sure don’t…I want to get the party started as quickly as possible!
One of our party saving tricks has been BACARDI® Mixers. If you aren’t familiar with them, you’ll find them located in the freezer section of the grocery store (on the frozen juice aisle). We’ll pick up a few varieties — usually Strawberry Daiquiri (my #1 fave!), Piña Colada, and Margarita– and pop them into our freezer at home. With them on hand, we’re ready to go for a last-minute party without having to run to the store…so convenient and easy.
For your next party, I have a delicious and easy summer cocktail recipe to share with you. It uses BACARDI® Mixers in the Strawberry Daiquiri variety, along with fresh strawberries and fresh basil leaves. Of course, the perfect compliment for this cocktail is BACARDI® USA rum, so it’s included as well.
Everything is blended up with some ice and club soda until it’s smooth — about 45-60 seconds or so.
And just like that, the BACARDI® Mixers literally brings the party together in mere minutes! Pour your Basil Berry Daiquiri straight from your blender into glasses or get all fancy and pour it into a nice pitcher first.
Be sure to have some extra strawberries and basil leaves on hand to garnish your drinks too – just because this summer cocktail recipe doesn’t take much time, it doesn’t mean it can’t be beautiful!
