Snickerdoodles are one of the most classic cookie recipes out there. A soft, sweet, and chewy treat that is loved by so many. We are taking the classic recipe and giving it a festive twist! Peppermint and Red and Green sprinkles!
The ingredients for this recipe are very similar to the stranded Snickerdoodle one but with a couple changes, you will get a perfect Christmas cookie that will go with your next cup of Hot Chocolate. Just like the stranded recipe, you will mix Butter, Sugar, Eggs, Flour, Baking Soda, and Vanilla Extract together. But for this recipe, you will also add Peppermint Extract and when the dough is done, you will roll it in Sugar and Christmas Sprinkles.

Ingredients Needed for Easy Peppermint Snickerdoodles:
- Butter (1 Cup)
- Granulated Sugar (1 1/2 Cups + 2 Tablespoons)
- Eggs (2)
- Vanilla Extract (1 Teaspoon)
- Peppermint Extract (1 Teaspoon)
- Cream of Tartar (2 Teaspoons)
- Baking Soda (1 Teaspoon)
- Red or Green or Both Sprinkles (2 Tablespoons)

How to make Easy Pepperminut Snickerdoodles:
1. Preheat Oven to 400 Degrees. Prepare Cooking Sheet with Cooking Spray, Silicone Mat, or Parchment Paper.
2. Cream together Butter, Sugar, Eggs, Vanilla Extract, and, Peppermint Extract.
3. Mix in Flour, Cream of Tartar, Baking Soda, and Salt into the wet ingredients.
4. In a separate mixing bowl, mix together the Sugar and Sprinkles. Set aside.
5. Shape dough into 1 inch balls with a scooper or your hands. Roll each ball into the sugar and sprinkles mixture.
6. Place the cookie dough balls 2 inches apart on the prepared cooking sheet.
7. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until set but still soft. Remove immediately from cooking sheet to a wire rack.
8. When the cookies are done cooling, place in an airtight container.
