Cinco de Mayo is just around the corner and while I LOVE traditional margaritas, I’m also a fan of unique flavors. Today, we’re sharing a different margarita recipe that you might not have had before, but once you do — it will be a favorite!
This margarita recipe blends up both pineapple, kiwi, and lime into a fruity margarita that isn’t just for Cinco de Mayo. It’s a margarita you’ll serve all year round.
All of the ingredients for this Pineapple & Kiwi Margarita recipe can be easily found at most grocery stores. You’ll need: Rose’s Sweetened Lime Juice, agave syrup (or you can make your own simple syrup), tequila (we used 1800 Blanco), pineapple juice, pineapple chunks, kiwi fruit, and ice.
In addition to the ingredients, you’ll also need a blender (we use a Ninja Professional Blender which is super powerful for crushing ice). We recommend using margarita glasses for the full effort, but who are we kidding? This drink will be delicious in ANY glass! We also added straws for sipping, but you certainly don’t need them.
To make this margarita recipe, you’ll be making it in two parts — first the pineapple margarita, which is the main part and then the kiwi ice blend which is added to the center as seen in the photos.
To make your pineapple margarita part, you’ll combine the sweetened lime juice, agave syrup, tequila, pineapple juice, pineapple chunks, and ice in the blender. Secure the lid and blend until smooth.
Pour the pineapple margarita mixture into a margarita glass rimmed with margarita salt (or you can rim the glass with finishing sugar, if you wish).
Give the pitcher a quick rinse to prepare it for blending up the kiwi ice mixture. Add the kiwi, tequila, agave syrup, sweetened lime juice, and ice to the pitcher. Secure with the lid and blend until the mixture is smooth.
Spoon the kiwi ice mixture into the very center of pineapple ice mixture. Add a straw (if desired) and serve!

This looks good. I like the dollop of kiwi in the middle.
I made frozen pineapple strawberry margaritas yesterday for my blog post that will publish tomorrow for Cinqo de Mayo. I thought of Agave syrup but just ended up putting sugar in it and some orange juice with the fresh fruit. It came out good and got me excited for summer deck gatherings.

This sounds like a drink that I should add to my cocktail recipes. It’s not often you find kiwi in a drink and I think it’s refreshing.
