I'm a bit jealous of those of you who have Autumn weather already appearing in your areas. I guess you could say that Las Vegas is cooling down a bit, but today's high was still at least 95 degrees F. Well, at least the nights feel like they are getting cooler.
While it doesn't feel very Fall-ish in these parts, there is things I do that (somewhat) satisfy my love of the season. One thing I do is go all out with my Autumn decorating. I think I decorate almost as much for Autumn (and Halloween

Apple-Cinnamon Coffeecake
This Apple-Cinnamon Coffeecake is a lighter version of traditional coffeecakes, full of apple and cinnamon. A perfect baked treat for a beautiful Autumn day.
David LOVES baked goods with his coffee. He enjoys coffeecakes, muffins, biscotti, donuts...pretty much anything that pairs well with coffee. I have a carrot cake recipe I generally use, but I've used a few through the years and each one is made with all-purpose flour. I don't use whole wheat...I don't even mess with it.

Somewhere between 7:05 - 7:15am, shortly after the first tower fell, David's mom came into our room and woke us up. She was freaked out and said that planes had flown into the Twin Towers in New York City and that one had fallen. David and I turned on our TV and immediately started watching
