Someday, I'll get a tattoo.
But for now, I will make a croquembouche.
Last month I learned about an online cooking group called The Daring Kitchen. Within The Daring Kitchen is two groups: "The Daring Bakers" and "The Daring Cooks".
The idea is that each group is given one challenge per month - a recipe that one of the members chooses. All members get the same recipe and you must follow the directions exactly.
The entire concept of The Daring Kitchen fits along well with my own

iPhone Recipe & Cooking Apps (My Top 5 Favorites)
I'm totally attached to my iPhone. I use it for just about everything: checking email, text messaging, taking daily photos, checking the weather, tracking calories, catching up on blogs -- and so much more. Sometimes even talking on the phone.
While these are all frequent activities for me, they aren't necessarily my favorite way of using my iPhone. My favorite? iTunes cooking and recipe apps!
I haven't bought all the cooking app's out there and I probably won't. There are a few I don't
BBQ Chicken Quesadillas – Easy Family Recipe
Last night we had a repeat of a dinner that I came up with several months ago. After the summer had ended last year, we had a pretty good amount of bottled barbecue sauce in our pantry. You know how it goes on sale a lot during the summer? Well, we went a bit overboard.
I started brainstorming for meal ideas that we could use all this barbecue sauce in - and that's when BBQ Chicken Quesadillas were created. While we eat them for dinner, they are great for lunch too. They would also be the
My Mother’s Day 2010 Recap
Remember last week when I talked about needing a good, new wooden spoon? Well, to my surprise, that's exactly what my husband gave me for Mother's Day. David gave it to me in a gift bag, but when he handed it to me, he seemed a bit embarrassed. I asked him what was wrong and he said that he hopes I "like it" and that he didn't buy me "one of the most expensive ones".
I kissed him and told him thank you...and told him how much I loved my new spoons. That I didn't need an expensive set - that
My Top 10 Favorite Snacks (as of today, I’m sure it will change again)
One of the key things I've had to realize about myself when it comes to losing weight is that I just can't leave the house hungry. When I am hungry, all common sense leaves me and I rationalize in my mind why stopping off at McDonald's isn't such a big deal.
While I do love cooking, I tend to want fairly simple and easy meals and snacks earlier in the day. Dinner is the main meal in our home (which is why you'll see I plan for dinner and not the other meals) and that's when I (many times) do

Thoughts On Real Cooking (aka what am I doing here?)
This is a recent shopping trip - just a few things we picked up. It looks pretty good, right? Well, the food I bought wasn't this good. The food I used to buy looked very different than this. So did my cooking.
In my circles of family and friends, most would say that they know I love to cook. Most would say that I have good recipes. Most would say that I am a good cook.
But, really, I'm considering most of this description to be untrue.
I don't feel as if I have REALLY cooked. I thought

Pretzel Encrusted Tilapia
So far, my former fish-hating husband is loving tilapia, so I wanted to come up with something new to do with it. My goal is to get his belly happy with all things tilapia so when I add a new type of fish into the weekly menu he'll trust me and be willing to go with it.
That's the plan at least.
So, knowing that one of his favorite snacks is pretzels, I got an idea that it would be a good coating to fish. So I put it on the menu plan, without having any clue what I would exactly do.
