Traveling soon? My blogging friends and I have put together our favorite dining spots across America -- and even into Canada and the UK!

5 Drink Tips for Summer Vacations
This post brought to you by Coca Cola. All opinions are 100% mine.
We are back from San Diego Comic-Con 2013 -- one of the biggest comic book and pop culture events of the year. For our family, it's a yearly summer vacation. Not only do we get to spend time at the convention, but we get to enjoy the beautiful weather and sights of San Diego.
Favorite Places to Eat in Vegas (without the kids)
We are participating in a fun blog hop where bloggers all over the US, Canada, and the UK have been asked to share their favorite restaurants in their area. While there is still so many places in Vegas we have yet to eat at, I am sharing our current favorite places to eat in Vegas -- without the kids.
Las Vegas Restaurant: Rumbi Island Grill
Right across from UNLV, is Rumbi Island Grill, a new fast-casual Las Vegas restaurant. We visited for dinner this last week and have photos, and thoughts, to share on the experience.
This is a sponsored post on behalf of Rumbi Island Grill. All opinions and photos are 100% my own or those of my family.
Road Trip Snacks Taste Test
Buying road trip snacks at your usual grocery store -- rather than at the gas station or tourist spots -- is one of the best ways to save money for family trips. I usually buy store brands, or sale items, but there is a bit of a debate in our house about if the store brand is best or equal to the name brand. So, I decided to have a little fun with my family and settle the debate by having a road trip snack taste test.
$7 Music Night: Dinner, Dessert and Justin Timberlake
The 20/20 Experience CD, from Justin Timberlake, has been released and it's causing quite the buzz. From March 19 -24, Justin Timberlake fans can pick up The 20/20 Experience at Walmart for just $7. We do movie nights all the time, but I decided that this was a great excuse to change things up and have a music night instead! I planned some fun at home with a $7 dinner and $ 7 dessert to go along with the $7 deal on Justin Timberlake's new CD.
Dining in Virginia: Mike’s American Grill in Springfield, VA
In May 2012, David and I took our second trip of the year to Virginia from Las Vegas. Just like the first time, it wasn't a happy trip. In January/February I was there due to my Dad's sudden death, but this time it was for my sister, who had been admitted to the hospital. We traveled over night and after long flights and layovers, hours at the hospital and an emotionally draining day, we checked in at our hotel, took showers and decided to get something to eat.
While we were both tired and
Cake Decorating with Duff Goldman
One of the many highlights of attending the Mixed Conference (my very first food blogging conference...yeeaaah) was our cake decorating class with Duff Goldman, cake decorator extraordinaire and owner of Charm City Cakes. Most people probably know him from the show "Ace of Cakes", which can be found in reruns on Food Network.
When we arrived to the class, we all paired up and sat at a tables, which were already geared up with a cake all ready for decorating and lots of Duff cake decorating
The Amazing Spider-Man Family Fun Night
Mattie's most favorite superhero is Spider-Man, so to celebrate the upcoming release of The Amazing Spider-Man on Blu-ray & DVD this Tuesday, November 9, our family held a fun -- and fairly simple - Amazing Spider-Man Family Fun Night!
To hold my event, I was one of several bloggers who received a advanced copy of The Amazing Spider-Man. Not only was Mattie thrilled about this, but so was my oldest daughter who is a huge Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone fan.
Food Memories Monday: Popcorn Balls, Pumpkin Seeds, Peanut Brittle
With Halloween just two days away, I'm sharing three blog posts this week for Food Memories Monday that not only capture food memories that I enjoyed reading, but they are also Halloween themed and I think you are gonna love them.
As with every Food Memories Monday, I pick posts based only on the food memory or story they share. While I love beautiful food photography and amazing recipes, I don't pick a post based on those things (they very well may have those things, but that's not criteria
